Decompression Sickness (DCS)
Decompression sickness is a serious and potentially life-threatening condition that can occur when divers ascend to the surface, causing air bubbles to form in the body. It’s a challenge that affects commercial, military, and recreational divers alike, leading to significant health risks and operational disruptions. Despite advancements in diving techniques and safety protocols, real-time monitoring of gas levels in tissues remains a gap in diver safety.

Our wearable system continuously scans for microbubbles that can form during a diver’s ascent. With our wideband and highly sensitive transducer arrays, the device provides early detection of bubble formation, allowing divers to adjust their ascent rates or initiate safety stops before the bubbles pose a significant risk.
